Becoming Bowen

With her wellness expertise, counseling background, military-spouse experience and passion for service guiding her, Debbie Mayberry laid the foundation for The Bowen Group at her kitchen table in 2004 while her husband was deployed to Iraq. What began as a small operation – developing the Department of Defense’s first casualty-assistance guide to help military spouses understand and access their benefits after the military service-related death of a loved one – rapidly translated into the need for more manpower, more space and a well-defined mission. From our roots in military-family readiness, we grew rapidly, refining our capabilities, distilling our work into three core practice areas and consistently delivering our promise to customers seeking expertise in telehealth, health communications and wellness services and staffing.
