Challenge

Military Community and Family Policy needed an affordable, user-friendly consolidated platform to host training and professional-development courses for a variety of audiences including military service members and their families, Department of Defense civilian personnel and service providers and stakeholders serving these groups.

Our Solution

The Bowen Group’s instructional design and technology experts and seasoned graphic designers developed and implemented an integrated solution for My Training Hub’s look and feel, brand identity, functionality and roll-out strategy. We conducted user-acceptance testing activities and provided award-winning strategic communication services to raise awareness of the learning-management system and maximize enrollment. We created a specialized formula for pulling and consolidating data from various systems to facilitate accurate user reports of total enrollment and average course-completion time. We also developed and produced courses for the My Training Hub platform, which features topics such as financial and family readiness, sponsorship and inclusive customer service in military Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.

Results

My Training Hub achieved a successful launch in 2015, providing economical, flexible, learner-centered training solutions that are available 24/7/365 to members of the military community across the world. Since its launch, an estimated 75,000 users per year have enrolled in My Training Hub and completed courses. The platform has a 90 percent course-completion rate and awards thousands of certificates each month with a recent average of 7,755.  

My Training Hub received a prestigious Gold MarCom Award in the Learning Management System category.
